Senior Pastor
Pastor Thomas J. "Mac"  and Pam McSweeney
pastor.McSweeney@gmail.com

Pastor Mac and Pam have been very happily married since March 1978.  They have one daughter Missy, who is married to Austin Carroll.  They live in the Boston, MA area, where Missy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy andstin is a Computer whiz.

Pastor Mac has been in formal ministry for about 32 years.  He and Pam have a wide array of ministry experiences in addition to pastoral minisrty.  That includes 17 years of various kinds of youth ministry, plus foreign missions experience.

Mac is an avid outdoorsman.  Hunting -- especially archery hunting -- is one of his favorite things to do, though he loves using his flintlock muzzleloader and his rifle also.  He even reloads his own ammo.

Mac has a passion for men's ministry and small group ministry among other avenues of ministry.  He loves to head to the wild outdoors with men and enjoy what God has made, while mixing lots of talk about God in the experience.

Pam has filled a wide variety of ministry roles, including women's ministries and teaching in small groups, and one-on-one settings, among others.  In addition to her involvement in ministry settings with Mac, Pam has enjoyed working outside the home.  Pam is a voracious reader, and a serious student of God's Word, which she particularly loves to share with ladies whom she mentors and encourages.  Pam is also committed full time as Mac's helpmate and encourager.

Mac and Pam enjoy traveling, taking walks together, and playing games with friends.  They are avid Steeler Fans and also enjoy baseball games.  They love living in Idaho and look forward to the future.

I accepted Jesus as Savior when I was nine.  Then at age twenty-one, I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ and made Him Lord of my life.

Kay and I were married in 1989, putting together a family of seven children.  We now have (at last count) eighteen grandchildren and they are all a blessing.

We became part of Praise Chapel Open Bible Fellowship in June of 1991.  We had been looking for a fellowship where worship was more than just singing songs and where the Word of God was shared in truth.

Over the years, I have served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, elder, facilitator of INSTE (Institute of Theology by Extension), an accredited theology course, I have also been involved with our youth group, and in various other areas where the church needed help.  In January 2005 I became the Associate Pastor at Praise Chapel and continued in that position when we joined with Rupert First Christian Church.

My wife has taught Sunday school, helped with VBS, and is on the worship team.  She is also on the board for the women's ministry.

In October of 2006, Rupert First Christian Church and Praise Chapel Open Bible Fellowship came together as one.  We are blessed to serve such a great group of people that are here at Frist Christian Praise Capel.

Being born and raised in the Mini-Cassia area, I feel blessed that God has called my wife and me to serve here.  I was raised in Paul and graduated from Minico High School in 1997.  It was there where I met and dated my high school sweetheart, Katie, whom I later married in 1999.  After our marriage, we lived in Twin Falls where we continued our education and served as junior high leaders in our church.  During this time, God began speaking to my heart about devoting my life to full time ministry.  Through a great deal of prayer, Katie and I accepted this calling on our life and I applied to Simpson University in Redding, California.  We sold our house and moved so that I could go to school.  I received my B.A. in Christian Ministry Leadership in 2005.  Knowing what it was like growing up in rural Idaho, my heart’s desire was to return to my home town and minister to the teens in this area.  In 2006, I accepted the youth pastor position at First Christian Praise Chapel.  We are thrilled to be raising our own children, Kylee and Peyton, in such a great area! Katie and I enjoy coaching our children’s basketball teams together.  Katie is currently finishing her B.A. from Idaho State, and I am working on my M.A from Crown College.  God is so good!  This is a great place to live, and we are excited to see what God has for our future.
